The 2nd XI won promotion to Div 3NW last season, losing just one game. This side offers an outlet for fit keen players of all ages, with the emphasis on fast-tracking the best young players in a good standard of hockey. Skipper Graham Brewer has brought his own brand of steeliness to the team and despite being famed for its sociability the team’s new signings over the summer made for incredible consistency as they won the league by a five3 point margin.

The 3rd XI also achieved promotion in second place in Div 6NW. The team mixes some outstanding veterans with the club’s youngsters, and they clinched promotion with a remarkable comeback from 4-1 down to win 5-4 in the last 12 minutes of the game. Back in Div 5NW the emphasis will nevertheless continue to be on four things - playing good hockey, developing the youngest players in the club; supplying good social hockey for casual or occasional players; and keeping our veterans in action..
Although the need to play on Astroturf pitches at times ranging from 10am to 4.30pm has stunted the social life of the average hockey player, Deeping’s men continue to lay heavy emphasis on the off-the-pitch side of the game.

Dinners and social events are laid on throughout the season and are usually well attended while the individual teams also enjoy their nights out in Deeping and Stamford. Visit the website regularly for further details.
