Welcome to the website for Market Deeping Hockey Club (MDHC) 
MDHC now plays in the following leagues: East Div 2 N; E Div 3NW and E Div 5NW covering all levels and abilities.
Our ladies, who re-formed as recently as 2004, were second in the Cambs. League Premier Division last year and our 2nd XI, launched two years ago, finished second in Cambs Div. 2 and reached that league’s cup final for the second year running.
This year we will continue our regular coaching sessions from qualified coaches.
We also welcome regular or aspiring hockey umpires at all levels.
Market Deeping is in south Lincolnshire - approximately 8 miles due north of Peterborough. Club colours are maroon shirts, white shorts, maroon socks (home); all white away. Our current home base is the Astroturf pitch at the Deeping’s Leisure Centre.

Hull/Bridle annual mixed tournament returns
Market Deeping Hockey Club hosts the Dave Hull/Gary Bridle memorial seven a side mixed tournament on Saturday June 27th at the Deeping’s Leisure Centre from 11am. The tournament commemorates the untimely deaths of two long-serving and very popular members of the club and all the proceeds go to charity. More details from Ali Rowledge on 0785 3864271.
Deeping hold club hockey taster day
Market Deeping Hockey Club is holding its pre-season club day at the Deeping Sports Centre astro on Saturday July 4 from 11am to 3pm. This serves as a social club trial and taster day for new and prospective players, with a BBQ to finish the day. Anyone interested should just turn up on the day in suitable gear.
Deeping run three very successful men’s sides with their first team in East Div 2N, their newly promoted 4NW champions second team in 3NW, and their also promoted 3rd XI in 5NW. The club also has two strong ladies sides, the 1st XI in the Cambridgeshire Premier league (they finished second) and the 2nd XI who finished second in Cambs Div Two.
With sponsors including the local curry house and plenty of off pitch events, members are ensured of a healthy social life too.
