Hockey teams for all abilities
Welcome to the website for Market Deeping Hockey Club (MDHC)
MDHC now plays in the following leagues: East Div 2 N; E Div 3NW and E Div 5NW covering all levels and abilities.
Our ladies, who re-formed as recently as 2004, were second in the Cambs. League Premier Division last year and our 2nd XI, launched two years ago, finished second in Cambs Div. 2 and reached that league’s cup final for the second year running.
This year we will continue our regular coaching sessions from qualified coaches.
We also welcome regular or aspiring hockey umpires at all levels.
Market Deeping is in south Lincolnshire - approximately 8 miles due north of Peterborough. Club colours are maroon shirts, white shorts, maroon socks (home); all white away. Our current home base is the Astroturf pitch at the Deeping’s Leisure Centre.

Hot stuff for Deeping hockey and their charities
![]()
It was a double celebration for Market Deeping Hockey Club as
they renewedtheir sponsorship with their favourite curry restaurant, and presented their chosen charities with the receipts of their annual charity mixed tournament, the Dave Hull/Gary Bridle memorial. Click on the photos for larger images.
Maharanis boss Muhammad Yaseen joined in the presentations as the successful restaurant chain continued a three year sponsorship deal, which has seen the club reciprocate with several enjoyable nights out at the popular riverside restaurant.
Martin & Rosie Collcott picked up a £250 cheque on behalf of MacMillan Nurses while a further £225 will be going to the NSPCC.
Dave Hull was a former chairman of the club, and the late Gary Bridle a hard-working and popular skipper of the third team before his move to Scotland.
